you are driving to visit a friend in another state who was 440 miles away you are driving 55 miles per hour and have already given 275 Mi write an equation to find how much hours you must try to reach your destination

This question was already answered so I will put it here.

Write the equation like this: 275 + 55h = 440. Then, subtract 275 on both sides making the left side cancel out and the right side 165. Lastly, divide 55 on both sides to get h all by itself. The solution is h = 3. You must drive 3 hours longer to reach your destination.
