Moritz has to write an alternate ending to "It's Only Fair.” His assignment is to change the ending so that the flat character becomes a dynamic character due to conflict. Which ending is the best choice to accomplish his assignment? After they argue, Maritza ignores Avery, and she writes about Irene Morgan. After they argue, Maritza agrees with Avery, and they write only about Rosa Parks. After they argue, Maritza convinces Avery, and they write about both Rosa Parks and Irene Morgan. After they argue, Maritza and Avery are unable to agree on whether to write about Rosa Parks or Irene Morgan.

The correct answer is "After they argue, Maritza and Avery are unable to agree on whether to write about Rosa Parks or Irene Morgan". Flat and round characters are types of characters described by the course of their development in a work of literature. Flat characters are two-dimensional, are not complicated and do not change throughout the story. Round characters are complex and undergo development, sometimes sufficiently to surprise the reader.
