To figure out the size of a rectangle that would represent the swimming pool, you will use the formula for volume of a rectangle or prism to solve for the area of the base.

V = Bh
1200 = 5B
B = 240 square feet

To get an area of 240 ft.², you could use the dimensions 10' x 24'. Another possibility would be 8' x 30'.

Answer:

Given: Depth of the swimming pool = 5 feet

Swimming pool is in shape of cuboid

volume of swimming pool = 1200 feet³

Volume of Swimming pool = Area of Base × Height

1200 = Base Area × 5

Base Area = 240 feet²

So, the possible dimension of the rectangle that represent the swimming pool are l = 24 & b = 10 , l = 30 & b = 8 , etc

Figure is attached with one of dimension.
