For the reciprocal, you swap numerator and denominator.

a. The reciprocal of
(√(2))/(2) is
(2)/(√(2))
To rationalize the irrational denominator, multiply numerator and denominator by the radical, then simplify.

=(2 * √(2))/(√(2) * √(2)) = (2 √(2))/(2) = √(2)

b.
(-2)/(√(3)) = (-2 √(3))/(3)
