Significance of Minotaur on history:

  • The Minotaur, a half bull and half man consider as monster in Greek mythology lived in Labyrinth, island of Crete.
  • He is the son of King Mino’s wife Pasiphae and Cretan Bull. Minotaur is important in history as he has been represented in Greek art with Theseus.
  • He appeared as design on pottery , body art, wall art on church at his birthplace that is Labyrinths.
  • He made his place in history and Greek mythology as he is sent to battle with white bull to have fought opposite to it in the sea but instead of fight he bought bull with himself because of beauty and sea not to be flooded which depicts sign of peace.
