The midpoint of a segment refers to the point in the middle of any segment. This can be find by using the formula, M=(x1+x2/2,y1+y2/2).

In this exercise is given that a segment has coordinates (-4,6) and (2,5). It is asked to find the midpoint of the segment, to do that you should substitute the given coordinates into the Midpoint Formula.

M=(x1+x2/2,y1+y2/2)
M=(-4+2/2,6+5/2)
M=(-2/2,11/2)
M=(-1,11/2) or (-1,5.5)

The midpoint of the segment is (-1,11/2), or letter A from the given choices.
