Hey there!

The answer to your question is (6, -2)

To solve for substitution, we simply make the right side of the equations equal to each other:

x-8=2x-14

Add
14 to both sides:

x + 6 = 2x

Subtract
x from both sides

6=x

Now, we have to solve for
y, and we can do so by plugging in the value of
x in to one of the equations:

y = 6 - 8

y = -2

Therefore, your solution is (6, -2)

Have a terrificly amazing day!
