Explanation:

When we use the compass to construct two equidistant points from a point P then we get points X and Y.

In other words XP ≡ PY

Similarly, when we mark arcs from point X and point Y with a fixed length, we get a point of intersection of arcs at point A.

This point A will be equidistant from points X and Y.

Therefore, XA ≡ XY

But in any condition length PX will not be equal to PY.

Now we are sure that option 1. XA ≡ XY will not be correct.

Therefore, Option 1. XA ≡ XY is incorrect.
