To solve for "x"
8x+10y=12
-10y -10y Subtract 10y from each side 10y-10y gives you 0; then you have 12-10y
8x=12-10y
8x/8x = 12/8 -10y/8 Then you divide all the numbers by "x"
x=1.5 - 1.5y

To find "y"
8x+10y=12
-8x -8x You want to first subtract x from both sides.
10y=12-8x
10y/10=12/10 -8/10 Then divide all numbers by 10.
y=1.2 -0.8y

Isolate y for 8x+10y=12:

y=2(−2x+3)/5

I hope this helped <3
