Use the point-slope formula for a line:

y-(-7) = -3(x-5) (answer)

Review: the eq'n of a str line with slope m and one given point (h,k) is

y-k = m(x-h).

m = (Y_2 - Y_1)/(X_2-X_1)


-3 = (y + 7)/(x - 5)


y + 7= -3(x - 5)
