Relationship continuity is highly valued by patients.

Studies show that relationship continuity can make the patient comfortable with his/her doctor (or physician), and the patient and doctor can learn a lot about each other.

Face the facts, you're not going to communicate well with someone that you barely know, and since you see your doctor/physician/pediatrician all the time, it's good to get to know each other and build up trust.
