Okay, so you would multiply
2/5 times 2/2 and would get 4/10
then add 4/10 plus 7/10
which is 11/10 but 11/10 in a mix fraction is 1 1/10

make each fraction have a common denominator (Note: what you do to the denominator, you do to the numerator)
2/5(2/2) = 4/10
4/10 + 7/10 = 11/10
11/10 is the same as 1 1/10
1 1/10
is your answer
hope this helps
