To find the least number of buns and bratwursts Akeela should buy so there are none left over, you will think of how each number is grouped as a multiple.

Bratwurst - 6, 12, 18, 24, 32, ...
Buns - 8, 16, 24, ...

She can buy 24 of each if she buys 4 packages of 6 bratwursts and 3 packages of 8 buns.

Answer:

A: 24

B: 4 packages of bratwurst and 3 packages of buns.

Explanation:

The bratwurst come in packages of 6, and the buns are sold in packages of 8.

A:

We will find the LCM of 6 and 8.

6 = 2 x 3

8 = 2 x 2 x 2

LCM = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 = 24

The least number of bratwurst and buns that Akeela could buy is 24.

B:

Akeela should buy
24/6=4 packages of bratwurst and
24/8=3 packages of buns.
