Find the impact on the volume if the dimensions of a right cylinder are multiplied by a scale of 1 half

Volume of cylinder:

V = \pi r^2 h

Volume of cylinder scaled down to 1/2:

V = \pi ((1)/(2) r)^2 ((1)/(2) h) =(1)/(8) \pi r^2 h

The volume has been reduced to 1/8 of original volume.
In general the impact on volume will be the scale factor cubed:

((1)/(2))^3 = (1)/(8)
