An obtuse angle will never equal 180 degrees.
An obtuse angle is defined as an angle whose measure is greater than 90 but less than 180. An angle with a measure of 180 degrees is a "straight angle."

Obtuse angles are angles that measure wider than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees. So to answer your question, obtuse angles sometimes measure 180 degrees.
