The answer is D. Also known as vasopressin (a stress hormone) acts on the receptors of the collecting ducts of the nephron during water stress to increase water reabsorption. The hormone stimulates water reabsorption by stimulating insertion of "water channels" or aquaporins into the membranes of kidney tubules.
