1. Distribute 8 to 4 and 3 so it would be 8x4=32 and 8x3=24
2. Add 32 and 24
3. The answer is 56

In this situation, using distributive property means multiplying the number outside of the parentheses, in this case 8, by each of the numbers inside the parentheses. Once you have those two numbers, add them together. Does that make sense?
