Tadpoles grown in ponds with high densities of tadpoles have lower survival and growth rates than tadpoles grown in ponds with lower densities of tadpoles which interaction between tadpoles grown in high-tadpole-density ponds would most likely cause the decreased survival and growth rates

The correct answer is competition.

Competition refers to an association among the species or organisms in which both the species or organisms are harmed. The restricted supply of at least one resource, like water, food, and territory used by both can be a factor.

Competition is one of the various associating abiotic and biotic elements, which influence the composition of the community. Competition between the similar species is called intraspecific competition. Competition is not always straightforward and can take place in both an indirect and direct manner.
