How did World War I affect the role of women in society

Women actually got to do something more than stay in the house. They could go and get a job because men were at war and because of this after the war they started getting more jobs even AFTER the war! This led to the roaring twenties and flappers came around and women started to drive.

they were given more trust and seen as useful in more than just taking care of the house and family. They gained respect
