Binge eating is known as a psychological disorder and falls under eating disorders. It is a consequence of being unable to deal with or control aspects of your life that you find difficult so you turn to food as comfort and a way of coping. It is a negative way of coping with emotions. Many people eat to hide or deal with their emotions, binge eating is a more extreme version of it as it becomes uncontrollable and people that binge eat need psychological intervention.
