The correct answer is LH and FSH.
At the end of the follicular phase of menstrual cycle, estrogen levels rise to the peak and this causes a surge in levels of LH and FSH. As a result, the oocyte is released from the ovaries as a consequence of the rupture of the ovarian follicles. That is ovulation.
