Scale = 1 inch : 4 feet
------------------------------------------
Find actual width :
------------------------------------------
Width = 3 inches
Actual Width = 3 x 4 = 12 feet
------------------------------------------
Find actual length :
------------------------------------------
Length = 4 1/2 inches
Actual Length = 4 1/2 x 4 = 18 feet
------------------------------------------
Find Area :
------------------------------------------
Area = 12 x 18 = 216 ft²
------------------------------------------
Find Cost :
------------------------------------------
1ft² = $15
216 ft² = 15 x 216 = $3240
------------------------------------------
The carpet will cost $3240
------------------------------------------
