Why is the value of y in the following system? y=3x-5 and 6x+3y=15 thanks

x = 2 and y= 1

y = 3x-5
1= 3 x 2 - 5
1= 6-5
1=1

6x+3y=15
6 x 2 + 3 x 1 = 15
12+3=15
15=15
