Why doesn’t all of the energy from the sun that enters the atmosphere reach the earth? Science question for my hmwk!

that is because in the stratosphere, there is a thing called a ozone layer, and it protect us from the the violent direct sun rays.

The ozone layer contained in the stratosphere, the ozone in the layer absorbs ultraviolet radiation the ozone layer contains all the ozone so the ozone layer protects the earth from ultraviolet radiation from the sun
