Volume of a cylinder is its cross sectional area times its height:

v = (\pi \: {r}^(2) )h

solve for r:

896\pi = \pi \: {r}^(2) * 14

{r }^(2) = 64

r = 8 \: in

The radius of the cylinder is 8 inches.
