Goal = $3000
Base Salary = $1200
Commission = $3000 - $1200 = $1800
Commission = 10%
10% = $1800
1% = $180
100% = $18000
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: He needs to sell $18000 of merchandise.
