The area of a triangle by definition is:
A = (1/2) * (b) * (h)
Where,
b: base
h: height
For the case of oblique triangles we must find the height:
There are two ways to find them:
h = c * sine (B)
h = b * sine (C)
Substituting we have:
A = (1/2) * (a) * (c * sine (B))
A = (1/2) * (a) * (b * sine (C))
Answer:
Two ways to write the area are:
A = (1/2) * (a) * (c * sine (B))
A = (1/2) * (a) * (b * sine (C))
Note: These results are not among the options. It was probably a mistake writing the question.
