we know that
1 in--------------> is equal to 2.54 cm
X in--------------> 85 cm
X=[85 cm]*[1 in]/[2.54 cm]----> X=33.46 in
the units of the ratio (1/2.54) are [inches]/[
centimeters]
therefore
the unit in the numerator of the ratio is [inches]
the answer is
inches
