The federalists support the ratification of the constitution BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THAT THE CONSTITUTION GAVE THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT THE AUTHORITY IT REQUIRES TO FUNCTION EFFECTIVELY.
The federalists are in favor of the constitution because they see it as a mean of balancing political power between the federal and the state government and to produce a representative government for the people.
