What is the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the line y = 8x + 5?

Answer . m= -1/8

Explanation:

The perpendicular slope is the negative reciprocal. Meaning that the numerator and denominator are switched and the sign of the slope becomes the opposite. (if the slope was -8, then the perpendicular slope would be 1/8)
