Debbie drew a scale drawing of a hotel. She used the scale 1 inch = 3 feet. If a room in the hotel is 4 inches in the drawing, how wide is the actual room?

12 feet because 3*4=12

The scale Debbie used was 1 inch = 3 feet. That means that every inch Debbie draws represents 3 feet.

Debbie drew a room that was 4 inches (wide, I'm assuming). That means you need to multiply 3 feet by 4 (for every inch that she drew):

3 feet * 4 = 12 feet

The width of the room is 12 feet.
