Erma maintains an active blog about her seashell collection. She has 500 white shells, 325 yellow shells, 115 pink shells, and 60 green shells in her jar. She asks Sweet T to reach into her jar and randomly selects a shell. Then she replaces it and shakes up the jar before asking Sweet T to pick another shell. If Sweet T repeats this 200 times, about how many shells can be expect to be green? answer. 120 green shells 60 green shells 12 green shells 6 green shells

She can expect 12 green shells.

There are 60 green shells out of a total of 1000; this makes the probability of drawing a green shell 60/1000. If she repeats this process with replacement 200 times, the expected amount of green shells would be

60/1000(200) = 12000/1000 = 12
