Which wartime leader would have opposed the holding of free elections in Poland after world war II?

Stalin would have been against free elections in Poland. Free Elections would have pushed the ideology of democracy which was completely opposite from what Stalin was in favor of. Add the fact that Poland was so close to the USSR that it represented an even greater threat to Russian Communism and his ability to remain in control as a dictator.

Stalin: Being Stalin saw Poland as a satellite nation to the USSR he would not want to lose influence over the country to Western powers.

Poland being the neighbor of the USSR, it provided protection and a buffer from Western powers. Poland was a part of the Warsaw Pact but had Western thinkers within the borders. An election after WWII may caused Poland to elect a democratic republic with capitalism as their economic system.
