When a patient is lying face down like in the image below, what position is she said to be in? Body is lying horizontally, face-down with the posterior facing upward.

Answer: Prone

Explanation: Face down is prone if you want to think of it as being prone to getting kicked without knowing or being able to see what’s happened until around you and then the opposite is supine, and the way I remember that is when you’re laying on the ground, face up and you’re looking up at the ”pines”.
