let's break it down:
9 1/4 and 4 1/2 don't have the same denominator, so we need to multiply 1/2 by 2 to get 2/4
need to multiple 9 1/4 and 4 2/4 by two, to get the perimeter of the rectangular garden -->
9 1/4 + 9 1/4 = 18 2/4 AND 4 2/4 + 4 2/4 = 8 4/4 = 9
18 2/4 + 9 = 27 2/4 = 27 1/2 which is for one fence
now we need to multiply 27 1/2 by 4 to get all four gardens
we should make the mixed number into an improper fraction because it makes it easier to multiply and visually see
55/2 x 4 = 110
