Hey there!

To start, in order to find the area of any rectangular figure, you must use the formula Area = Length × Width.

In the problem, you are given the area of the doghouse, 15, and the length, 5. Knowing this, you can plug the values into your area formula and solve for W, your width:
15 = 5 × W
(divide both sides by 5 to isolate W and to set W equal to a value)
W=3

Now that we know that the width of doghouse is 3, we can use the length and width to find the perimeter of the doghouse. In order to do this, you must add the measurements of all the sides of the doghouse floor:
3+5+3+5
=16

Therefore, the perimeter of the doghouse floor is 16 feet.

Hope this helps and have a nice day! :)

16 ft because the perimeter is 15 ft and perimeter is length times width. The only number that you can multiply by 5 to get 15 is 3 and perimeter is all sides added up. You add up 5+5+3+3 to get 16 ft.
