joyful
Out of this list, joyful is the word that is most connotatively charged. It has much more energy, excitement, and happiness than any of the others in the list. Pleased and content are very bland words to say that someone is pretty alright, not super happy, but not upset. Glad is a bit more positive, but then joyful brings the energy up to a much higher level of happiness.
