Answer:

The correct option is B. 6 by 9

Explanation:

Length of the smaller rectangle = 4 units

Width of the smaller rectangle = 6 units

Perimeter of the smaller rectangle = 2 ( length + width )

= 2 (4 + 6)

= 20 units

Now, the ratio of the smaller rectangle to the larger rectangle is 2 : 3

Let the perimeter of larger rectangle be x units

⇒ 20 : x = 2 : 3

⇒ x = 10 × 3

⇒ x = 30 units

Now, Perimeter of larger rectangle = 30 units

⇒ 2 ( L + B) = 30

⇒ L + B = 15 units

Hence, from the given options only option B. gives the L + B = 15 units.

Therefore, The dimensions of larger rectangle = 6 by 9

Hence, The correct option is B. 6 by 9
