slope formula is y2-y1/x2-x1.

So if i plugged the numbers in, you receive
(y-6)/(1-2)

Simplified, this becomes
(y-6)/(-1)

To make the slope equal 5, the numerator y-6 has to = -5 since there is a -1 denominator.

1-6 = -5 making the slope now,
(-5)/(-1)
since both the numerator and denominator is negative, the whole fraction becomes positive. This makes the slope equal
(5)/(1) or 5

The ANSWER IS D) 1
