10^(3) $1 bills is the same as
10 * 10 * 10 = 1000 $1 bills.

You're told that 1000 $1 bills is 4.3 inches tall. That means to get the height of one $1 bill, you have to divide 4.3 inches (the height of 1000 $1 bills) by 1000 (how many bills there are):

(4.3)/(1000) = 0.0043 in

The thickness of one $1 is C) 0.0043 in.

10^3 is the same as 10,000

multiply 10,000 by 4.3=43,000
