The equation for a circle:

\boxed { \boxed { (x - a)^2 + (y - b)^2 = r^2}}

Since the centre is at (0,0), then the equation will be:

\boxed { \boxed {x^2 + y^2 = r^2}}

It passed through (-6, 0) :

(-6)^2 + 0^2 = r^2

r^2 = 6^2

r = 6

The radius is 6, therefore the equation of the circle is :

x^2 + y^2 = 6^2

\boxed { \boxed { x^2 + y^2 = 36}}
