THe given equation is

2x^2 +11x + 15 =0

TO find the number and type of solutions, we have to check out the discriminant, whose formula is

D = b^2 -4ac

In the given equation, values of a,b,c are 2,11,15 respectively .

Substituting the values of a,b and c in the formula of discriminant, we will get

D = 11^2 - 4(2)(15) = 121-120 = 1

Since the value of D is positive, so we have 2 rational solutions .

And the correct option is d .
