If the sequence has a common ration, that means that you multiply this number from the last term to get the example. So the third term is -4(4) = -16. Fourth term is -16(4) which is -64. Fifth term is -64(4) which is -256. Hence, the answer is the fifth term in the sequence is -256.

Answer:

-256

Explanation:

The common ratio is the difference between two numbers in a geometric sequence, it´s the division between the two subsequent numbers on the geometric sequence, in this example if you have the term -4 would have to be multyplied by 4, so the third term would be -16, the fourth term would be -64 and the fifth term would be -256.

So the sequence would be:

-1,-4,-16,-64,-256
