From the graph, it is clear that:

The art gallery is located at x = 7 and y = 2

The dry cleaners is located at x = 7 and y = 7

The theater is located at x = 2 and y = 7

Given that each unit is 1 mile.

Distance from the art gallery to dry cleaners is on the vertical path.

so

Distance from art gallery to dry cleaners = 7 - 2 = 5 miles

As Theater and dry cleaners are on the horizontal path.

Thus, in order to move to the theater from dry cleaners, all we need is to count the unit on the x-axis from x = 7 to x = 2.

i.e. 7 - 2 = 5 miles

Thus, the total distance: 5 + 5 = 10 miles

Therefore, option C i.e. 10 miles is true.
