Coughs and sneezes create respiratory droplets of variable sizes that spread respiratory viral infections. Because these droplets are forcefully expelled,they are dispersed in the environment and can be inhaled by susceptible host.

Measures that can be put in place to prevent spread of these diseases are as follows:

One must immunise against these infectious diseases such as the influenza.

One must cover coughs and sneezes whether in the public or at home to prevent the droplets from falling on surfaces that may be as an easy source or access for another to get infected.

One must always stay in a well ventilated environment or room to prevent the breeding of the disease.

One must keep all household surfaces clean inorder to destroy any form of germ or bacteria which would cause illness.

One should not go out haphazardly when sick to prevent others from contracting the disease.
