Hello!
For this you can substitute the y in one of the equations with the other
14x + 3 = 2x + 10
The you solve it like an algebraic equation.
You subtract 2x from both sides
12x + 3 = 10
Subtract 3 from both sides
12x = 7
Divide both sides by 12
x = 7/12
The you substitute x in for one of the equations
y = 2(7/12) + 10
y = 28/ 24 + 10
y = 14 / 12 + 10
y = 7 / 6 + 10
y = 10 7/6
So the answers are x = 7/12 and y = 10 7/6
Hope this helps!
