Amphetamine use

Amphetamines are stimulant drugs which speed up the messages travelling between the brain and the body. High doses and frequent heavy use of amphetamine can create a psychosis symptom known as ‘amphetamine psychosis’. This symptom is characterised by paranoid delusions, hallucinations and out of character aggressive or violent behavior. The symptoms usually disappear a few days after the person stops using amphetamines.
