Females, ages 15-19
Anxiety disorders are a leading cause of disability adjusted life years (DALYs) among females between the ages of 15-19. Anxiety disorders are groups of mental disorders distinguished by significant feelings of anxiety and fear. These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a fast heart rate and shakiness. There are a number of anxiety disorders. They include generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, agoraphobia and panic disorder.
