The tax on lead, paper, glass, and tea is known all happened under the Townsend Act.

The man who said "Give me liberty of give me death!" is Patrick Henry. He was a member of the Sons of Liberty, who helped organized the revolution against the British government.

The Boston Tea Party is the event that caused the British to respond with the Intolerable Acts.

Cornwallis was forced to surrender after the Battle of Yorktown.

The first act passed purely to raise revenue was the Sugar Act. It was passed in 1764 and upset colonists because they had no say in this tax being implemented.

The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the American Revolution, as the US gained much needed military assistance from France after this battle.

The Declaratory Act stated that the British government has the ability to tax the colonists.

The Quartering Act forced American colonists to house British soldiers.

The Proclamation of 1763 forbid colonists from settling west of the Appalachian mountains.
