During the late 1950s and early 1960s a strong willingness to fight and sacrifice for civil rights debeloped among many americans. Two reasons that we can easily identify for this consciousness raising actions are the better approach that people had to regional and worlwide events through media: radio, television, newspapers made possible more accessibility to other similar efforts that were occuring at Europe and another countries. On the other hand, a better access to school attendance levels in the postwar period gave rise to a young component of population more educated, less fearful and well supported with new international instruments that contained human rights clauses in very different facets against discriminarion and inequality: ethnicity, integrationism, indian issues, gender inequity, suffrage access, lgbt rights and a lot of other forms of liberation.
